Department Description
Computer Science and Engineering Department started in the year 2003 with an intake of 60. The intake is gradually increased to 120 with two sections by the year 2004. The Department started Bachelor Program in Information Technology (IT) with an intake of 60 in the year 2007. By 2008 the Department of IT has been separated and functioning as an individual department. CSE department started M.Tech programme in the year 2009 with an intake of 18. The Department is registered it Computer Society of India(CSI), and became a part of student Chapter.

The department has highly qualified and expericienced faculty. The department has good infrastructural facilitates and is equipped with full-fledged laboratories. The Department also has audio-visual facilities with one LCD and one OHP's for effective teaching. The staff members are deputed to participate in workshops, conferences, symposia and refresher courses to keep in pace with recent developments in the field of Electronics & Communications Engineering. The Department has been organizing Technical Symposia at the National-level. Five such Symposia were organized in 2005, 2006,2007,2008,2009 and 2010. 'Technovision 2010' is the sixth National-Level technical Symposium we have organized this year.
Goals
  • Improving the Industry-Institute interactions.
  • Motivating students to take-up research activities and publishing papers in conferences and journals.
  • Conducting Technical Fests and Faculty development Programs
  • To improve the effectiveness of teaching, by inculcating new pedagogical approaches.
  • To increase the visibility of the department and institution by conducting sponsored workshops and conferences.
